Damson Idris was born on September 2, 1991, in Peckham, London, England, to Nigerian parents. Although born in the UK, he is a descendant of the Yoruba people of Nigeria via his parents. Idris is the last of six children, and he grew up in a single-parent household as he was raised by his mother.
